Inspiring Bloggers!

I’m a novice to blogging, and lately I had come across some beautiful pages, and posts which inspired me to keep writing and learn new things. Each one is different their own way, having a particular theme and focussing on various topics.

So here are the rules :

  • Thank the person who chose you.
  • Include the logo in your post.
  • Answer the questions asked to you.
  • Choose the bloggers who’ve inspired you (maximum 10.)
  • Add a feature of their blog which you admire.
  • Ask them five questions.

Now that you’ve got the rules, I’d like to choose:

  1. Pooja- LIFESFINEWHINE : She has an amazing blog which is diverse, colourful and vibrant. I love the way she focusses on mental health and includes travel, food and six words stories which keep you glued to her posts.
  2. Vinaya V-Fiction Leaf : Her language is awesome, and her expressions are out of this world. Her blogging style is quite different from what I’ve seen so far.
  3. Amisha Rath-idiosyncrasies : She writes on society, women and current affairs. She’s really firm and her views definitely inspire you to take steps to make the Earth a better place to live in.
  4. Hisaxia : I loved her series – ‘The Serial Killer‘, and the life updates are stories you just can’t miss.
  5. Harman kaur-myserenewords : Wanna seek solace ? This blog is definitely the place you need to go.
  6. Lucy : Quite a beautiful blog. So many stories, poems and thoughts you just can’t ignore.

So here are the questions :

  1. What made you take up blogging ?
  2. What would you choose : Go back to the past or Jump to the future ?
  3. How many languages can you speak ? List them.
  4. Your travel pet peeves?
  5. Name three of your favourite authors.

  1. I am beyond happy and honored that you chose my website as one of the ones that inspired you.

I don’t do awards on my site anymore, but if you do not mind (since the questions are so interesting) I will answer your questions here if that is okay.

    1. I wanted to disseminate my writing out there and receive feedback. I also wanted to connect with other writers and authors when I first joined WordPress.

    2. I would go to the future. The past is already there, but the future will always be unknown.

    3. Ah, I only speak English.

    4. Travel pet peeves… Probably having to stop to use the bathroom every hour on car rides.

    5. Three of my favorite authors… Great question! I really adore the writing community on WP, so I’ll list my top three favorite ones that write on here: João-Maria, A.D. Matthias, and The Feathered Sleep.

João-Maria: for his astounding, moving imagery in his work. It stuns you not only in the rich verbosity, but as well the lexicon he wields in his prose and poetry that immerses the reader in its figurative imagery and literary meaning. His writing, in my opinion, is 1900’s-esque—very reminiscent to Wallace Stephens, and at times, T.S. Eliot.

A.D. Matthias: for their unique phrasing and imagery. They have a very eloquent writing style that pertains evocatively honest to the reader. Very honest and innovative work with impactful, heartbreaking meaning in their poetry. As well, they are an excellent story teller. I especially liked “The Fart Catcher” by them.

And finally, The Feathered Sleep: for their raw and honest poetry. I am often transfixed by the phrases they come up with—the sheer, utter honesty in their writing written so passionately with beauty and explicit detail. It is often a roller-coaster of emotion from start to finish, their poetry leaving you with a long-lasting effect that won’t part you for a while; and I don’t think you’d want it to leave, in my opinion, because it’s just that good.

When I was in the eighth grade, my English teacher told me ''You write beautifully but you write too much!''. That was the day I met my arch-nemesis: word limit. I eventually lost a couple of marks because of it. That was also the day I decided I wanted to write (not quite sure about what though!) for as long as I lived...
