A Day in My Life

Hello ! Hope you’re doing good !

I just wanted to share my daily routine with all of you though I don’t have school, I try to keep myself busy all day !!

So, here’s my schedule !!!

5:30 am – 7 : 30 am

I’m a morning bird, and I usually wake up at 6 am, but sometimes if I’m really restless it’s 5 or 5:30am. I go straight to splash some water on my face, brush, drink two to three glasses of water, and head to my study table. I have a few entrance exams coming up in the months of August and September, so I sit with my books till 7am.

Then I spend around 20 to 25 mins in reading the entire newspaper, because I generally don’t prefer online news.

7 : 30 am – 9:30 am

I spend the next 2 hours in doing my household chores, like cleaning, washing and drying my clothes, and other stuff. I then shift to my computer, which always has some technical glitch, and I have to spend atleast 15 minutes in sorting it out because my younger brother has online classes, and it shouldn’t cause a problem.

9 :30 am to 10 :30 am

The next thing I do is go for a shower, pray, have breakfast, which is usually South Indian like idli, dosa, pongal, kitchdi or upma. During days when I don’t feel like eating I just have milk, cookies or bread. I log on to WordPress and type my drafts, check out other blogs and posts, and reply to the comments. I then help my mom in the kitchen, and shift all my books to the other room.

10:30 am to 1 pm

I sit with my books for over 2 hours, solving questions based on physics,Chemistry and Math, attempting short mock tests, solving previous years’ papers and revising formulae. I take 2-3 ten minute breaks in between and I head back to the kitchen to help my mom. Sometimes if I’m really disinterested to sit with my books, I put my earphones on and play some lectures related to my course.

1 pm to 1 : 30 pm

It’s lunch time. It’s quite for sure that I’ll be super hungry and what I crave for is a South Indian meal. It’s usually Sambar, Rasam, rice and some vegetable curry.

1 : 30 pm to 2 : 30 pm

I spend the first half an hour in blogging, and the next half an hour in revising formulae and solving questions.

2:30 pm – 3 :30 pm

I don’t get proper enough sleep in the night, so I doze off for an hour or so. I think an afternoon nap keeps me more active than a long night’s sleep. So I ensure that I have atleast an hour of afternoon nap.

3 : 30 pm – 4 : 30 pm

After a long, refreshing nap,I sit with my books again. Though afternoon study doesn’t work for me, I try to revise all my lessons and solve math. Afternoons are usually the ‘lazy hours’ for me, so I become like Homer Simpson.

4:30 pm- 6 pm

This would probably be my favourite time of the day. I watch Suits ! It’s on Amazon Prime and I started watching it during the initial months of lockdown. I am currently obsessed with Harvey Specter (Gabriel Macht), and I regret not watching this amazing series earlier!

6 pm – 6:30 pm

I pray, munch on some snacks, and check my phone. I am not there on any social media, nor do I receive many messages, so talking to people doesn’t actually form a part of my day.

6:30 pm – 7 pm

I am not trained in piano/keyboard but I do play a few Indian and English songs which I learn on my own by watching them on Youtube or by simply listening to the sounds of keys. My brother, however does go for classes, and that’s why I decided to learn on my own too.

7 pm – 8 pm

I suffer from anxiety and I have a wandering mind, so things like meditation and yoga don’t seem to work on me. I go for a jog, which usually covers around 4 kilometres (2.4 miles), and I try to unwind by playing badminton or talking with my friend. If I prefer being alone, I go to the terrace of my apartment and gaze at starless skies.

8 pm to 8 : 30 pm

I refresh and help my mom in the kitchen, or just watch YouTube videos, and chill. I usually don’t like being idle, but this time of the day is when I do random stuff, which even include unnecessary things like breaking down alone in the restroom and brooding over stupid incidents.

8:30 pm to 9 pm

I generally finish my dinner within seven minutes, so I spend the next 20-odd minutes blogging, scrolling through news feeds, playing the keyboard, drawing and other stuff.

9 pm to 10 : 30 pm

Books again !

10:30 pm / 10 : 45 pm

I hit the bed ! 😪😪😪😪

And this is my schedule on all days except Sundays! Don’t ask how I spend my Sundays. But if you really wanna know then all I do is :
